How to enter the BIOS or CMOS Setup

Computers manufactured in the last few years allow you to enter the BIOS setup using one of the five keys shown below during the boot process.

F1 , F2 , F3 , F10 , DEL , ESC , Ctrl + Alt + Esc , Ctrl + Alt +S

How to change the BOOT Sequence

1. Use the right or left key to go to boot option then use the up and down key to chose which boot device going to be use
2. Use the < + > key to move the device up which you want to use for boot !-Some of bios use F6 key or F5 or page up or page down or space bar or D or U to change value
3. Bring the specific device or required device on first
4. Save the configurations changes and exit the BIOS Setup / CMOS Setup. Utility by pressing the {F10} and then hit [ENTER] key to 'Save configuration changes and exit.

How to Change SATA to IDE or IDE to SATA in BIOS

After enter in bios,
 1- Use the arrow pad to select an option such as "Advanced," "Integrated Peripherals" or "Main." Press "Enter."
2- Select "Storage Configuration," "Drive Configuration," "IDE Configuration" or a similar option, if available. Press "Enter."
3- Check setup for an option such as "Configure SATA As," "SATA Mode," "SATA Configuration" or "On-Chip SATA."
4- Press "Enter." Choose "IDE," "Compatible" or "ATA" from the menu and press "Enter" again. If pressing "Enter" doesn't bring up a menu, press "+" or "-" to change the parameters of the option.
5- Press "Esc" to return to the main menu, or select the "Exit" tab. Select the option to quit the BIOS and save changes.
6- Press "Enter" to restart the computer and boot the SATA drive as an IDE device.

How to reset CMOS or BIOS settings or password?

1- How do I clear the CMOS?
Note-!!!!!! Clearing the CMOS memory will cause you to lose all customized settings in the BIOS. Make sure that you only do this if it is absolutely necessary. Before beginning, make a note of all BIOS settings on your system.

To clear the CMOS:
1. Turn off all peripheral devices connected to the computer. Disconnect the computer‟s power cord from the AC power source (wall outlet or power adapter).
2. Remove the computer cover.
3. Locate the battery on the board
4. With a flat-bladed screwdriver, gently release the battery from its connector.
Note! Remember the position of “+” and “-” of the battery.
5. Leave the battery out for 10 - 15 minutes, for the CMOS to lose the settings.
6. Replace the battery in the connector, orienting the “+” and “-” correctly.
7. Replace the computer cover.
8. Turn the system back on.

You will need to reset the date and time in the BIOS Setup after clearing the CMOS.
